The Concise Dictionary of Dress online
Judith Clark & Adam Phillips’ extraordinary project at Blythe House has now closed, but The Concise Dictionary of Dress lives on through new, specially commissioned multimedia content on the Artangel website, and a beautiful book published by Robert Violette.
Our online area for The Concise Dictionary of Dress includes:
- Conformist: story of a definition: a short film about one of the installations, a William Morris-influenced piece that has now been acquired by the V&A. [Click to watch]
- A complete slideshow of Judith Clark’s installations and Adam Phillips’ definitions. [Click to view]
- An interview with Adam Phillips: the psychoanalyst discusses the meaning of clothes and the styling of dictionaries. [Click to listen]
- The Artangel 500s: short pieces by six selected writers. [Click to read]
